Jason Alexander was born to Ruth Minnie, a nurse and health care administrator, and Alexander B. Greenspan, an accounting manager. He changed his name from Jason Scott Greenspan to Jason Alexander when he was in his high school in New Jersey, which also served as his stage name. Jason graduated from Livingston High School in Livingston, New Jersey. He then went on to attend Boston University but left that after he got some work in New York City. In actual, Jason always dreamt of becoming a magician. He decided to take up acting as his career only after he realized that he didn’t have a bright career as a magician.

Jason started off with his acting career with stage. Besides being an accomplished actor, Jason is also pretty good with singing and dancing. He worked with Broadway and was seen in plays like Merrily We Roll Along, The Rink, Broadway Bound, Accomplice, and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. He also received a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
Coming down to his television career, Alexander started off his television career with ‘Seinfeld‘, where he played the role of George, best childhood friend of Jerry. He became very famous with his role of George and was well appreciated for the same. While he was still doing the role of George in Seinfeld, he gave his voice to the lead character in the cult animated series Duckman. After Seinfeld came to an end, he tried coming back to television but with little success. He tried coming back with series like Bob Patterson and Listen Up, but nothing worked for him. He has made guest appearances in series like Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Family Guy. He was asked to do a role in Star Trek because of his being a huge fan of the series. He also played the role of a well-educated serial killer in Criminal Minds.
Jason has also worked in a number of famous movies like Pretty Woman, co-starring with Richard Gere. We have also seen him in movies like Shallow Hal, Love! Valour! Compassion!, Dunston Checks In, The Last Supper, Jacob’s Ladder and Hood of Horror. He also tried his hand in direction with movies like For Better or Worse and Just Looking. He is also very famous for playing the role of toy maker in the movie named ‘The Man Who Saved Christmas’.
Besides television and movies Jason has also appeared in number of commercials. He has done commercials for brands like McDonalds and KFC.
Coming down to his personal life, Jason married Daena E. Title on May 31, 1982. The couple together has two children. Jason is very fond of Poker and is a regular player of the game. Jason once admitted that he started losing hair at the age of sixteen. In 2006, he finally debuted as a “professional magician” at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
